Why are some of the products I received different than what is shown on your website?

We do our best to ensure high-quality, brand name products are sent in your pack. As supply changes, we adjust our inventory accordingly. We do not guarantee any specific brand name products as we are not supported by any other company. We independently provide this service.

 

Can I purchase your packs anywhere else?

We are always looking for new outlets to carry our packs. We are in talks with a few hospital gift shops to carry our product so please ask at your hospital. If you would like your hospital, birthing centre, birth-preparation class, elder-care housing, hospice or other long-term care facility to carry our packs, please pass our website information on to them. Once they contact us, we will be able to send them the number of packs they would like to carry.

How are the onesies and blankets washed?

They are washed in hot water in a Miele Touchtronic 1113 machine using Clorox Green Works HE wash liquid and dried on med-high in the companion Miele drier.

All expected shrinkage should have occurred prior to your receipt of the items.

 

Do you offer discounts on bulk purchases?

Of course. If you belong to an organization that would be interested in selling our packs at an event or class, please contact us and we can discuss details.

 

Where is your head office?

We are located in Calgary, Alberta. Yes, we are Canadian.

 

Where do you ship to?

We will ship to anywhere you like. This means direct to you, our online customer, OR direct to your loved one, be they in hospital or somewhere else in the world.

The only limitation to shipping is dependent upon the shipper you choose to use. If you do not find our shipper to be up to your standards, please provide us with your account number for your shipping company and, if we have that company available, we will ship the product on your account.

 

How much is Shipping?

Due to the nature of both UPS and Canada Post's inability to link directly to the site and offer a shipping quote in real time for within Canada addresses, we have averaged the costs of services.  UPS also charges more for residential addresses within the same city and so again it is impossible to be exact on a provincial basis. 

Vancouver shipping addresses can contact us for a partial refund of UPS fees due to the nature of the reduced fees for this one city within British Columbia. 

 

Why do you offer different shipping options?

Because everybody doesn’t need emergency-timed delivery - next day. Maybe the baby is due in September and you would like the expectant parents to take the pack with them. If you order early and send the pack with a slower shipper the parents-to-be can add a few more personal items before they go to hospital. Perhaps your aunt is scheduled to have her surgery in 2 weeks. This way you have the opportunity to save a little money by not using overnight delivery.

 

Why flip-flops / shower shoes?

You wouldn’t want to walk barefoot on hospital floors where visitors, food service and other staff are walking in their outdoor shoes.  And since most washrooms in hospitals are shared, this way you can leave with your feet in the same condition they started off in.

The shower shoes are meant to be used only for your stay in hospital and then they can be thrown away. A nicer shoe could be used in shower but then you would feel obliged to reuse the shoes at home. No need for more things to worry about on the day you get to go home.

Please do not wear shower shoes in / on your bed – staff usually don’t change the sheets every day.

 

Why not a travel mug?

The ceramic mug provided is not only useful for hot and cold beverages but also soups and it can even be used to hold non-food related things (pen, hairclips, watch, etc.).  It’s microwavable and, naturally, it’s washable.  When it feels like nothing is under your control, the simple act of washing your own mug to your own standards can be a wonderful thing.
